Attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity is a neurodevelopmental disorder that is one of the most common among young people. 5 to 7% of Canadian children have attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity. The main impairments are attention and concentration and can be accompanied by impulsivity and hyperactivity.

This workshop aims to better understand attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and the multiple cognitive impairments that can characterize it. Also, it will be discussed how to evaluate a child to arrive at a diagnosis and avenues for reflection on the best way to support the child to reach his or her full potential.

This workshop is made possible thanks to funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada, as part of the national Healthy Early Years project of the Société Santé en français.
