Collège Nordique named the 2024 Best Employer by the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce

The Collège nordique francophone is extremely honoured to have received the 2024 Best Employer of the Year award from the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce. This distinction recognizes our commitment to creating an inclusive and flexible work environment. One of the qualities that sets us apart as an employer is our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. “The CNF is a unique and welcoming place to work, with values of empathy, compassion, respect and teamwork. The team-building activities have really strengthened our bonds and fostered a spirit of collaboration,” shares Natalia, our Senior Education and Training Coordinator.

We also offer rich cultural activities, including beading workshops, Indigenous language classes and traditional camps to promote the sharing of local cultures. This approach allows everyone to open up to a variety of cultural realities and better understand the values of the territory in which we live.

The well-being of our staff is essential to us, and we implement initiatives to promote a good work-life balance. Erika, Director of Operations, attestes: “The work-life balance that the Collège offers has transformed my daily life, with flexible hours that allow me to balance my professional and personal life. In addition to ergonomic desks, we offer personalized coaching programs, such as Gallup coaching, and benefits, including two weeks' paid leave during the holiday season.” Language teacher Margarita adds: “At CNF, there's great flexibility in terms of hours and working methods. I can organize my preparation time and adapt my vacations to maximize my productivity and relaxation time.”
