This workshop is intended for early childhood educators, parents, and legal guardians who speak French.

Offered online or in person at Collège Nordique, this practical and informative workshop is led by Marika Cyr. It provides an introduction to the autism spectrum and the best strategies for supporting children in their development.

This workshop will help you:

  • Understand the main characteristics of the autism spectrum and their impact on child development
  • Explore concrete strategies to foster inclusion and support autistic children in educational settings and at home
  • Discover and use educational resources and sensory materials tailored to the needs of autistic children

You will leave with a better understanding of the challenges and strengths of autistic children, as well as practical tools to support their growth and well-being.

About the facilitator:
Marika Cyr, originally from Îles-de-la-Madeleine, is the Regional Coordinator for School Inclusion in the Northwest Territories. With experience in special education and learning support, she assists educational settings in adapting their practices to promote inclusion and child development.
