Screening of the film Incendies by Denis Villeneuve at the cinema

As part of the Mois de la francophonie, Yellowknife’s cinema is hosting a special screening of Incendies by Denis Villeneuve. This film, nominated for an Oscar and winner of eleven international awards, including Best Canadian Film at the Toronto Festival, is a powerful drama that follows the journey of twins uncovering their mother’s buried secrets and the tragic history that shaped her past.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. to welcome the audience.

The screening will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be presented in French with English subtitles, allowing the entire Yellowknife community to experience this cinematic masterpiece together.

This special event also marks the film’s fifteenth anniversary, making it the perfect opportunity to (re)discover it on the big screen and celebrate Quebec cinema.
