Learn the Tłı̨chǫ language while having fun

This year, Collège Nordique was excited to collaborate with the Yellowknife Public Library, to offer two immersive sessions of 10 weeks each, open to everyone. These sessions provided a fun and interactive way to learn the Tłı̨chǫ language.  

The first session focused on learning through games, where participants were able to discover the Tłı̨chǫ language by playing board games: this engaging method facilitates the acquisition of vocabulary and simple phrases while having fun. 

The second session combined language learning with beading activities. Participants introduced themselves at the start of the session, learned phrases to carry on a simple conversation, and received beading instructions in the Tłı̨chǫ language for total immersion.   

These workshops, open to everyone and with no need to register in advance, allowed everyone to participate whenever they were available. The next session will take place in September 2024, if you would like to join in the adventure!
