RESDAC's 33rd Annual General Meeting: a year of growth and acceleration.

  • Community commitment

From September 24 to 27, 2024, Collège Nordique took part in the 33rd Annual General Meeting of the Réseau pour le développement de l'alphabétisme et des compétences (RESDAC- Literacy and Skills Development Network), held in Ottawa. Our Executive Director, Patrick Arsenault, member of the Board of Directors, and Natalia Pérez Pedraza, Senior Education and Training Coordinator, proudly represented our college at the event.

Collège Nordique, RESDAC's newest member

A member of RESDAC since April 2024, Collège Nordique has joined a national network that aims to promote literacy and skills in the Canadian Francophonie. This Annual General Meeting was a great opportunity to reinforce our commitment alongside the 11 other members of the network, to achieving these objectives.

A year of growth and acceleration

RESDAC presented the year's highlights and unveiled its strategic plan for the coming years (2023-2028). Its seven priorities include increasing the number of partners, increasing the funding available to members, and expanding access points to training for Francophones across Canada. These priorities aim to strengthen access to continuing education, following the recommendations of the March 2024 National Summit on Learning for Canada's Francophonie.

Co-operative governance

The AGM also emphasized the importance of effective and collaborative governance. Training was offered on co-operative governance, reinforcing the skills of Board members. These moments of exchange highlighted the importance of working together to meet the challenges pertaining to literacy and skills development.

A warm tribute to Mona Audet

A highlight of the AGM was the announcement of the retirement of Mona Audet, RESDAC's Executive Director. After years of invaluable contribution, Mona leaves behind an exceptional legacy that will continue to inspire the network. We express our deep gratitude for her commitment and achievements.

Perspectives 2025: a dynamic action plan

RESDAC unveiled its 2025 action plan, focused on concrete initiatives to expand access to training and improve knowledge mobilization. Collège Nordique is determined to contribute to these projects and continue its commitment to a strong and inclusive Canadian Francophonie.

This AGM was an opportunity for Collège Nordique to reconnect with its partners and inspire new ideas to strengthen education in Northern Francophone communities. We look forward to continuing to work hand in hand with RESDAC, and to actively contributing to the success of future initiatives.
