5 tips for successful online or hybrid studies

  • Education

The start of the school year is fast approaching at Collège Nordique. Whether you're taking language courses, the LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) program or the Early Childhood Education program, you can choose between online and in-person learning.

For those opting for online learning, here are five tips to help you succeed

   1. Create a dedicated study space

Choose a quiet, organized place to study. A good workplace will help you stay focused and avoid distractions.

   2. Establish a routine

Time management is crucial online. Create a schedule, reserve a time slot for online study time, and stick to it so you don't fall behind.

   3. Use the college’s resources

Take advantage of learning platforms such as Moodle, study room reservations, computer equipment, and forums to ask questions and interact with your teachers, especially if you're taking asynchronous courses like the Early Childhood Education program.

   4. Communicate with your teachers and classmates

Participate actively in discussions and don't hesitate to ask for help.

   5. Take care of yourself

Studying online can be intense. Take regular breaks, move around and look after your physical and mental well-being.
