How is my language level assessed at Collège Nordique?
When you register for a language course at Collège Nordique, your level is assessed by means of a placement test. This test consists of an oral interview in the target language, designed to assess your communicative competence.
The interview, which lasts 30 to 40 minutes, can take place in person or online. You will interact with an assessor who will ask you a variety of questions to observe your ability to produce and interact orally.
At the end of the assessment, your results will be communicated to you. You'll find out what your level is, and be directed to the language course best suited to your needs and objectives.
At Collège Nordique, we use recognized reference frameworks to ensure accurate and consistent assessment:
- Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB)
- European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
