Workshop on occupational therapy for early childhood (in French)

This workshop is designed for French-speaking early childhood educators, parents and guardians.

Offered online or on site at Collège Nordique in French, this practical and informative workshop, led by our speaker Marika Cyr, is an introduction to occupational therapy applied to children aged 0 to 6.

It will enable you to :

  • Understand how occupational therapy can support children's overall development, particularly in the areas of motor skills, self-regulation and participation in daily activities
  • Obtain concrete tools and adapted strategies will be shared to strengthen their role with children presenting specific challenges

You will leave with a better understanding of the occupational therapist's role in child development and be able to identify the signs of a developmental delay or challenge in children aged 0 to 6. You will also discover practical strategies to support their motor, sensory and social development.

About the speaker :
Marika Cyr, originally from Îles-de-la-Madeleine, is the Regional Coordinator for Inclusive Education in the NWT. With a background in remedial education and special education, she helps educational institutions adapt their practices to promote the inclusion and development of children.
